Emi's Studio

In 2023, Emi moved into an 18th‑century stone house in Northamptonshire—one of her lifelong dreams come true, inspired by the charm of old stone cottages. Since then, she and her husband have been carefully restoring the house using traditional materials and techniques, a slow and ongoing project that will take years to complete.

She has established her studio within the house and is currently working on setting up a sukumo indigo studio there, continuing her dedication to traditional dyeing practices in a space that reflects both history and craftsmanship.
